The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities overseas and operating in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. Toto saw North America as a growth market for Washlet bidets and toilets, in contrast to its "base" markets of Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto was recording Toto words to ensure that the next generation could comprehend the words. Many words were replaced with foreign words. For example dui, which was Bengali for verandah, was being used.
Origins
The early history of Toto which began in 1917, was a reflection of Japan's rapid economic growth. In the early years of its existence, the company manufactured products to meet the demand for new, modern urban housing. It was the first tunnel kiln in the country that could produce ceramics continuously. It also pioneered the use automation to control production, which allows for greater efficiency and consistency.
The company began expanding overseas in the late 1980s in order to benefit from new markets and sales opportunities. The company created the Cera Trading Company to import and market other products of other manufacturers in order to expand its range of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped increase sales and expanded the firm's market share.
In the 1990s, Toto had shifted its focus on research and development of household appliances that use water. It also upgraded its distribution system to better serve the needs of customers and to increase profits. The company embraced a just-in time method of managing supply chains, and it used the same approach in its sales program. This resulted in a higher degree of customer satisfaction.
Toto continued to innovate toilet technology. Its most recent toilet, for example, has a powerful tornado flush that is more environmentally friendly than traditional toilets. Toto also makes use of recycled water in its manufacturing process and has a green purchasing policy. In addition to toilets Toto manufactures faucets and bathtubs, as well as hand dryers that are more energy efficient than conventional models.
The first Toto museum opened in 2015. It hosts exhibits on Toto's most famous products, their evolution, the group companies (all of which are made from ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing, and even bath units. In a separate gallery you will find Toto products that are sold throughout. The museum houses a bathroom with a washbasin and other toilet innovations.

Before the formation of Toto, members of the band did sessions for a variety of musicians. Boz Scaggs album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich as well as guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather and drummers Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. 메이저사이트 추천 appeared on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
With a name like Asia one would expect the group to be prog queens and kings but they're actually a pretty straight forward rock band. The band began as four members and released two albums that were self-titled in 1979 and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. However, even though the group have a wide range of musical backgrounds their biggest hit came in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a huge blockbuster, however it did not come without its share of issues. The record companies placed Toto under pressure to deliver the top single or they would drop them. Toto was able to do this through the aid of the hit song "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is the result of their previous experiences. Before joining the group, members worked as session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs. Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. Their distinctive sound has become the norm for '80s pop, influencing many modern artists.
The album starts out hard with tracks like Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to create great AOR tunes that slowly creep into your head. But the album also contains some more mellow, jazzy tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. The album ends with Great Expectations. This song blends folk and distorted AOR, which should sound completely wrong but actually works extremely well.
After Toto IV the band's fortunes began to wane. David Hungate left the band to pursue a solo career and the band had several drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in after he was charged with drug abuse. the group continued to perform as a trio featuring Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Toto released Isolation despite the turmoil. It was not as well-liked as IV. The band was able to release an album that topped the charts, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. This album marked Toto's final lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new vocalist.

Line-up
Turn Back, the band's third studio album, was an ode to the classic sextet structure and an even more consistent and powerful effort that had a more grittier edge. The more edgy sound of the album was a reflection of the maturation of the group and included drummer Bobby Kimball's increased virtuosity on drums, and an improved, mature vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's keyboard skills were as well more refined, more precise and less akin to earlier efforts.
After touring to promote their album, the group recorded their Amsterdam live concert that was released by Eagle Records as a 2-CD set entitled Falling In Between. A new studio album followed shortly after, and the band embarked on a world-wide tour in support of the album. In this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich and Lukather started searching through old demos and tapes in search of a new album featuring songs that had never been recorded before. It was completed in 2001 as a duo album titled Then & Now. It was the first album in the band's history not to feature a single song with the word "A" in the title, and it also contained one previously not released track, "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth record, Old Is New was an uncommercial success and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis that restricted his singing capabilities. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming was replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.
Downes and the other original members of Asia--Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened a meeting in England in early 2006 to discuss the possibility of reforming the band. The group, which was missing Howe who was busy with Yes at the time, was renamed Toto XIV. They toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also had an appearance by singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
